Satellite Imagery Captures Severe Storms in Southern United States

Timelapse footage from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) shows severe storms moving across the southern United States from Monday, August 22, into the following morning.

Imagery captured by the NOAA GOES satellite shows weather conditions across southern states including Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas.

On Monday, emergency crews in responded to hundreds of flood-related emergencies in Dallas and the surrounding areas. On Tuesday, the National Weather Service warned of flash flooding in parts of Louisiana throughout the day. Credit: NOAA via Storyful
