Satellite imagery captured smoke blowing from California’s Mosquito fire amid air quality concerns in the region on Thursday, September 15.

In the neighboring state of Nevada, some schools and colleges were forced to cancel classes due to the wildfire smoke, according to local reports.

The Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere, CIRA, posted this satellite footage showing the fire’s activity on Wednesday.
