Snowcat Back in Action as Snow Piles Up in California's Sierra Nevada Mountains
Snow covered California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range in white and created treacherous travel conditions on Tuesday, November 8, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.
Video from the UC Berkeley Central Sierra Snow Lab shows heavy snow falling outside the lab on Tuesday.
“Not to overload you with good news, but our snowcat, Elsa, is back in full operation after having her clutch replaced!” the lab wrote in a tweet, adding that the machine was repaired “just in time for the snowstorm.”
