Two Powerful Hurricanes Churn in the Atlantic, Satellite Images Show
Two hurricanes continued to churn in the Atlantic Ocean on Tuesday, September 12, satellite images released by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration showed.
Category 3 Hurricane Lee, with sustained winds of 115 mph, was expected to bring dangerous surf conditions to most of the United States’ East Coast throughout the week, the NHC said. A tropical storm warning was issued for Bermuda, as Lee was expected to approach the island nation on Thursday.
