Canberra Airport Illuminated in Rainbow Colours for Same-Sex Marriage

The colors of the rainbow lit up Canberra Airport on Sunday, August 9, as a vote by the country’s federal parliament on same-sex marriage neared.

MPs from across Australia fly into the airport to attend sittings of parliament. The airport’s owners hoped that the addition of rainbow lighting and the large signage, carrying Australian Marriage Equality’s new national campaign slogan #WeCanDoThis, will remind politicians of the importance of the vote.
