Community in Tacoma Line Streets in Tribute to Fallen Officer

A Tacoma police officer was fatally shot on November 30 after responding to a domestic violence call. The officer died after surgery at Tacoma General Hospital, reports said.

The officer, who has not been named, was said by local police to be a 45-year-old who had joined the department in 1999.

A procession of dozens of vehicles escorted the officer’s remains to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office, the News Tribune said.
