Deadly Tornado Sweeps Cook County, Georgia

At least seven people were killed when a tornado ripped through Adel in Cook County, Georgia, early on Sunday, January 22, damaging homes and uprooting trees, according to reports.

Eleven people were reportedly killed and 23 injured across southern Georgia that morning.

The storms came one day after a tornado killed at least four people in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
