Driver Travels Over Interstate 85 Prior to Overpass Collapse in Atlanta

A major fire beneath Interstate 85 in Midtown Atlanta snarled traffic and caused a section of the 12-lane highway to collapse on Thursday afternoon, March 30, as commuters were headed home.

This video was taken from Interstate 85, as the fire broke out. The driver traveled across the highway through the smoke before the highway was evacuated. A section of the northbound lanes collapsed about 30 minutes after the fire started.
