Fans Sing and Cheer for Fallen Chapecoense Players

Fans sang and cheered for fallen Chapecoense players at the Brazilian football team’s Arena Conda in Chapeco on the evening of Tuesday, November 29.

Most of the team members were among the 71 people killed in a plane crash near Medellin, Colombia, late on Monday.

Chapecoense was scheduled to play against Colombia’s Atletico Nacional at the Copa Sudamericana finals on Wednesday. Atletico Nacional asked CONMEBOL, the South American Football Confederation, to award the Brazilian team the trophy.
