Frozen Third Rail Strands New York City Subway Trains

Some New York City commuters found themselves stuck on a train for hours after ice built up on the third rail on February 2. This footage shows the inside of one of the 7 line trains that was stuck. A total of five trains lost power, and service was suspended on the line that connects Queens and Manhattan, according to local media. Even after service was restored, there were no trains between Flushing and Times Square.
