Hilton Head Island Beaches Empty as Hermine Approaches
No one was playing beach volleyball on Friday, September 2, on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, as Tropical Storm Hermine approached the state’s coastline after crossing Florida. The storm started travelling up the Atlantic coast on Friday and is expected to impact the weather along it over the holiday weekend.
Thousands were left without power on the southern end of the island, according to a local report, with more rain and high winds still expected.
