Kerry Pushes Pacific Rim Trade Deal in Singapore

US Secretary of State John Kerry traveled to Singapore on Tuesday, August 4, to promote the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal after talks failed last week to reach an agreement. The TPP is a controversial part of President Barack Obama’s efforts to balance China’s efforts in the region. Critics of the plan, however, feel it favors business too much over workers.
