Melbourne Thunderstorms Divert Flights to Adelaide and Sydney

Two passenger planes were diverted mid-flight to Adelaide and Sydney due to severe weather conditions at around Melbourne on April 8.

A flight from Doha, Qatar and Singapore were redirected to neighbouring states due to wild weather that rolled in on Saturday and is expected to continue until Monday. The storm is expected to drop a month’s worth of rainfall over Melbourne and Gippsland over two days.
