Movie Report: The Zookeeper's Wife

The war drama 'The Zookeeper's Wife' tells the true story of Antonina and Jan Zabinski who ran a zoo in Warsaw in the 1930s. Unfortunately this came to an abrupt end when the German invasion began and the zoo was mostly destroyed. Antonina and Jan became active in the Polish underground resistance and they secretly sheltered Jews as well as the surviving animals in the ruins of their zoo. Two time Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain took on the role of this Polish heroine.
