Multiple Explosions Hit Mezzeh Military Base in Damascus
Multiple explosions rocked Mezzeh airbase in west Damascus on December 7, according to the Syrian Ministry of Defense.
Syria’s state broadcaster, citing a military source, reported the claim that the “surface-to-surface missile” strikes were carried out by Israel at 3:00 am. No casualties were reported, it added.
Fire broke out in Mezzeh airport after the explosions and vehicle sirens were heard in the area, pro-opposition sources said.
Israel has reportedly hit Syrian army positions and Hezbollah conveys a number of times since the war began, killing many prominent Hezbollah figures and destroying arms depots, according to al-Masdar news.
These videos were shared by a Syrian community group and are captioned “12 rockets hit Mezzeh airport.” The videos show massive explosions.
