NASA: Orbiter Imagery Says Liquid Water May Exist on Mars Now
NASA announced on Monday, September 28, that imagery from its Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter shows the possible existence of salty water on the surface of Mars. The MRO’s spectrometer showed signatures of hydrated minerals on slopes where dark streaks appear to ebb and flow with the planet’s seasons.
