Navy Ship USS Ross Successfully Launches Missile Interceptor
In a North Atlantic joint military exercise conducted by the US and eight allied nations, including Canada, Australia, France, Italy and Britain, the USS Ross successfully launched an SM-3 missile interceptor at a dummy target. The SM-3 is a defensive weapon designed to destroy incoming ballistic threats at close and intermediate range.
