NYPD Rescues Man Threatening to Jump From Bridge

New York police rescued a man who was perched on top of a bridge over the Harlem River on Wednesday, September 14. Police said the man was attempting to jump from the Macombs Dam Bridge before officers arrived on scene. Officers spoke with the man for two hours before they were able to secure him and lower him to safety. He was taken to Harlem Hospital for evaluation.
