Obama Pushes Tourism in Trip to Baseball Hall of Fame
Barack Obama became the first sitting president to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York, on May 22, ahead of its 75th anniversary this summer. The trip was part of the administration’s bid to bolster tourism and travel in the United States.
“I love baseball. America loves baseball,” Obama said during a speech at the Baseball Hall of Fame. “It continues to be our national past time and for any baseball fan out there, you’ve got to make a trip here.” Credit: The White House
