Reality TV Contestant Saves Choking Man on Rochester Street
Pavel Fesyuk spotted something unusual on his drive around Rochester on January 10 – a man appearing to be choking next to his car.
Fesyuk, a contestant for reality TV show American Ninja Warrior, was quick to pat the man’s back and perform the Heimlich, a first aid procedure used to treat choking by foreign objects. He successfully helped the man swallow whatever it was stuck in his throat and told ABC News that “his training in mixed martial arts helped tremendously during the rescue.”
While Fesyuk jumped out of his car, his dashboard camera kept rolling and recorded the whole scene. Credit: Pavel Fesyuk via Storyful
