Tesla Motors has just unveiled its Model 3 electric car and we tried a ride with VP of Engineering Doug Field, at the launch party Thursday night, March 31. Reservations topped a quarter million by 7 a.m. Saturday, after first opening Thursday morning. Tesla stock jumped Friday as far more reservations came in than analysts expected.
