Surgeon general stops in Md. to talk addiction

U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy stopped Tuesday in Baltimore as part of a national campaign over opioid addiction reaching epidemic status. In order to bring more attention to the epidemic of prescription drug abuse across the country, Murthy made a first stop at a drug treatment facility in Baltimore as part of a nationwide tour. Clients and staff at the Man Alive Treatment Center performed for Murthy and Baltimore Health Commissioner Leana Wen as an example of the facility's combination of the arts to help addicts through recovery.
