Truck Partially Submerged as North Carolina Flood Waters Wash Away Section of Road

North Carolina experienced severe flash flooding on September 29, as storms and heavy rainfall battered parts of the state.

Eight inches of rain was reported to have fallen in parts of the state, with more than 25 people having to be rescued.

More than 2,000 homes were left without power and schools closed in flood-hit areas.
