Verizon, AT&T Cut Mobile Prices While Boosting Data Allotments

In a win for consumers, mobile providers Verizon and AT&T announced significant price cuts, while upping the allotment of data in its wireless plans. Verizon's 100-dollar 10-gigabyte plan dips to $80 and its 110-dollar 15-gigabyte plan will drop to $100 per month. For $40, instead of offering 2-gigabytes, the company is upping the deal to 3-gigabytes for the same price. AT&T's 80-dollar plan for 6-gigabytes is being cut to $70. Shares of Verizon are trading down about 0.2%, and remain up just about 2% since the start of the year. On the flip side, AT&T's stock is down one half of one percent and slumped 1.4% year-to-date.
