Wildfires Spread in Southern Russia
A wildfire burnt more than 100 buildings in 16 villages Russia’s southern Siberian republic of Khakassia on Sunday, April 12. Sputnik quoted authorities as saying that at least 10 people were killed in the fire. A state of emergency was declared for the region at around 1 pm local time as more than 100 people were injured and nearly 1,000 houses damaged.
