World's 'mega pizza' has 68,000 slices

This ‘mega pizza’ will dish out 68,000 slices once it is completed
Pizza Hut is hoping it will become the world’s largest pizza ever made

"Yeah. So, it's a big team, as you can see. Look, I mean, look at the size of it. It's a giant pizza. It's about 14,000 square feet. So, if you think about that, it's going to be like 68,000 slices of pizza when we're all done. And the great thing is none of it's going to waste. We can actually donate it to some local food banks here in the Los Angeles community. So, we're really excited about that."
To make the pizza, rectangular slices of pizza dough are laid along the base
Pizza sauce is then painted on to the dough before cheese and pepperoni are added
A cooking device then hovers over the pizza to cook it
"You know, Pizza Hut has a history of making firsts, right? We were the first to deliver a pizza. We're the first to take an order over the Internet. We've always done big, exciting things. And so, breaking the world record for the world's largest pizza just felt like the right thing to do to celebrate bringing back our largest pizza. So, that's why we did it."
