Heavy Rain Floods Roads in Yakima, Washington
Floods swamped roads in Yakima, Washington, on Wednesday 15 as authorities warned that snow melt and heavy rain could lead to further flooding
The Yakima Herald reported the flooding would only get worse, as crews laid roughly 1,000 sandbags across local levees.
By late Thursday, the Yakima River was expected to crest at near flood stage, according to the Northwest River Forecast Center.
