Westminster Bridge Blockaded by Extinction Rebellion Demonstrators

Extinction Rebellion protesters in London kicked off what they said would be two weeks of direct action on Monday, October 7, blocking two bridges, and several central locations, including around the Houses of Parliament.

This video shows a crowd gathered along Westminster Bridge, with the Houses of Parliament visible in the background. By 12:30 pm on October 7, the Metropolitan Police said that they had made 135 arrests in connection with the protests.
