12-Year-Old Dog Happily Disappears in 'a Foot' of Snow in Chamonix, France

A dog owner who splits her time between Britain and France clearly picked the right time to stick around Chamonix, as heavy snowfall hit the mountainous region.

Sophie Neary told Storyful that her 12-year-old Jack Russell–fox terrier mix Tiggy “goes wild when it snows.” In a video shared to Neary’s Instagram page on January 12, the pooch can be seen happily jumping around in what Neary estimates is “a foot” of snow.

France’s national meteorological service issued an orange weather warning for the mountainous southeast region of Haute-Savoie amid a “snowy episode in progress … until Thursday evening.”
