Charging documents detail allegations against David Linthicum

According to charging documents, a detective was conducting surveillance around 9:20 p.m. when he was "shot and carjacked" on Warren Road between Bosley and Poplar Hill roads. The charging document says the detective was shot in his face, torso, leg and arms. The charging documents state that the detective's body-worn camera video shows him driving his unmarked police vehicle when he encountered David Linthicum walking on Warren Road. The detective approached the suspect on foot and Linthicum "fired numerous shots" at the detective, who returned fire.
