Cincinnati Zoo Welcomes New Fresh-Faced Ring-Tailed Lemur

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden has welcomed a new ring-tailed lemur to its Night Hunters building.

A clip shared to the zoo’s Facebook page on June 12 shows its newest resident, Willow, settling into her new home at the zoo.

According to the zoo, the name “ringtail” comes from the seven or eight black rings on the animal’s tail. Lemurs live in social troops of a dozen or so, led by a single, dominant female.
