Fire Crews Tend to Blaze at Metro Hotel in Dublin

Fire crews rushed to tackle a fire at the Metro Hotel in the Ballymun neighborhood of Dublin, Ireland, on Wednesday, March 21. Raidió Teilifís Éireann reported the fire broke out at about 8pm and all guests were evacuated safely.

The hotel was once used to temporarily house homeless families across Dublin, the RTÉ report said. On Wednesday, the hotel had roughly 150 guests and there weren’t any homeless families staying on the property.

The Dublin Fire Brigade tweeted they had eight fire engines, two aerial appliances, emergency tender, foam tender, command units and senior officers on site. Credit: Cian Leonard via Storyful
