Guatemala volcano spews smoke and lava
STORY: The volcano, locally named Volcan de Fuego (Volcano of Fire), has erupted numerous times over the past 10 years, including an eruption in 2018 that left more than 190 people dead.
The 12,346-foot (3,763-meter) volcano, situated about 19 miles (30 km) south of Guatemala City, is one of the most active in Central America.
