Motorists Near Charleston Drive Through Supercell Storm

Motorists in South Charleston, West Virginia, were left shaken on Monday, June 24, after they drove through a supercell storm that passed over Route 119.

Weather warnings were in effect for West Virginia when Missy Lusk Richmond drove through the storm.

The funnel cloud seen in Richmond’s video suggests a possible tornado. The National Weather Service said it would send out a team on Tuesday to assess whether a tornado had touched down. Credit: Missy Lusk Richmond via Storyful
