Large Hail Smashes Storm Chaser's Windshield in West Texas

A Texas storm chaser could only laugh when his car bore the brunt of an occupational hazard on April 25, as its windshield was smashed by hail he said was like “tennis balls”.

Chad Casey’s footage shows his cracked windshield as he drives along near Sweetwater.

Casey can be heard laughing in the video, and was philosophical about the damage when he spoke to Storyful. It was all “part of chasing,” he said.
