Fire Guts Historic Montreal Building That Housed Canada's First Cinema
A huge fire broke out at a heritage building that once housed Canada’s first cinema in Montreal’s Chinatown on Thursday, November 17. The blaze gutted the four-storey Robillard Building, which dates back to 1889, and was reportedly standing vacant and being renovated. The fire was brought under control within an hour by 120 firefighters. No injuries were reported.
