Md. county, feds in talks to house undocumented immigrants in jail
Some Anne Arundel County councilmen and immigration advocates say a potential plan to house undocumented immigrants at a Glen Burnie jail is bad for the county. If an agreement is reached, federal officials would pay the county for each undocumented immigrant brought in to be housed at the Ordnance Road Correctional Center. The county executive views the program as a revenue generator and as a way to help enforce federal immigration law.
