Rare Sighting of Killer Whales in the River Derwent

A pod of orca whales surfaced in the River Derwent in Tasmania on December 8, which were later confirmed to have also visited the area five years earlier. The Australia Orca Database identified one of the killer whales as Split Fin, who can be distinguished by her damaged dorsal fin.
