Severe Weather Brings Heavy Rain, Hail, and Thunder to Mobile

Thunderstorms brought heavy rain, hail, and flooding to parts of Alabama on December 23, including Mobile, where at least 1,200 people reportedly lost power.

Local meteorologist Chris Dunn reported that Mobile received more than two inches of rainfall in one hour, causing flash flooding, and Joe Maniscalco of the National Weather Service reported more than 10 inches of rain south of Mobile.
