Watch These Shedd Aquarium Otters Frolick in the Snow

After five to 10 inches of snow fell in Chicago, Illinois, five otters living at Shedd Aquarium celebrated the snow day.

This video by the aquarium shows Yaku, Kiana, Mari, Luna and Ellie playing in the snow brought in especially by staff on Thursday. The otters could be spotted having a ball of a time as they were running, jumping, sliding and rolling in the snow.

According to a release from the zoo, animal trainers often use ice cubes and ice treats as a form of enrichment. Bringing in the snow was one enrichment activity to provide mental stimulation and physical exercise. Credit: YouTube/Shedd Aquarium via Storyful
