Waves Crash Into Michigan Lighthouse as Cool Air Moves Across Region

Large waves crashed into a lighthouse on Lake Michigan in early October as cool air moved through the region bringing scattered showers to southwest Michigan, the National Weather Service (NWS) reported.

Nathan Voytovick, of Nate’s Dronography, recorded this footage of the St Joseph’s lighthouse, and described the waves as “monster.”

The NWS issued a hazardous weather outlook on Saturday, October 7, for parts of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, noting lake effect showers that may create, “hail/graupel and gusty winds between.” Credit: Nate’s Dronography via Storyful
