Water, Water Everywhere: Fire Hydrant Bursts in Southern French City After Flash Flooding

A fire hydrant burst on a busy intersection in the recently water-afflicted city of Montpellier, France, on September 16, causing a geyser of water to shoot into the air as cars passed by.

Montpellier is located in the department of Herault in southern France, where heavy rain and hail have caused severe flooding in the region since Tuesday, September 14.
